Why We Build in Wood

Wood framing is the trade we've spent our careers mastering. Our work in lumber and engineered wood shapes how we plan, build, and inspect every project.

Wood is the standard for residential construction in California for good reasons. In a seismic zone, a properly framed wood structure with shear walls and hold-downs flexes and dissipates energy in an earthquake. It's also faster to frame, easier to modify on site when the engineer makes a call, and every inspector and trade in Southern California knows how to work with it.

For homeowners, wood usually means a lower structural cost and more flexibility later. Adding a window, moving a wall, or building a second story on a wood-framed house is routine.

There's also the warranty question. We put a written workmanship warranty on our foundation and framing work. We can do that because we know exactly how our wood structures behave over time.

For your wood-framed ADU, custom home, or small commercial building, you'll be working with a crew that has framed thousands of walls and knows what the inspector is going to look at before they arrive.
